Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar-free sweetener
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • Chopped cilantro and toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into even 1-inch cubes and place in a medium bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes; pour over the steak and marinate for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat; add sesame oil. Sear half the steak bites in a single layer for about 2 minutes per side until browned but still pink inside; transfer to a bowl.
  4. Repeat with remaining steak bites. Pour reserved marinade into the hot skillet; boil until thickened (about 4-5 minutes), then drizzle over cooked steak.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro; serve immediately.
