- ⅔ cup dark brown sugar (or light brown sugar)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 ½ tsp instant coffee granules
- 2 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp heavy cream
- ¾ tsp instant coffee granules
Instructions
- Prepare the tangzhong by whisking together water and flour in a saucepan over medium heat until it forms a paste-like consistency.
- In a stand mixer bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt.
- Warm the milk slightly and dissolve instant coffee in it before adding it along with the egg, vanilla extract, and tangzhong to the dry mixture.
