Ingredients
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons Spike Seasoning (or all-purpose seasoning)
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Trim any visible fat from the chicken breasts.
- Score shallow slits crosswise into each breast for better marinade absorption.
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, Spike Seasoning, basil, oregano, onion powder, sage, and black pepper.
- Place chicken in a Ziploc bag or container; pour marinade over it and seal tightly. Refrigerate for at least 5 to 8 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat; drain excess marinade.
- Grill chicken top-side down for 3–4 minutes until grill marks form; rotate to create criss-cross marks and cook an additional 3–4 minutes.
- Flip and cook for another 4–6 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Serve hot with chopped parsley on top.
