  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, diced
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/3 cup finely diced peaches
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 tablespoons heavy cream (if needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; whisk until well mixed.
  4. Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined. Carefully fold in diced peaches.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55–60 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let cool in the pan for about ten minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, melted butter, diced peaches, and remaining vanilla extract until smooth; add heavy cream if needed for consistency.
  8. Spread glaze over cooled bread before slicing and serving.
