Ingredients

  • 8 cups water (divided)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • Optional garnish: 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring the rinsed hibiscus flowers, 4 cups of water, and sugar to a boil over high heat.
  2. Cover the saucepan, reduce heat, and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  4. Strain the tea through a colander to remove the hibiscus flowers.
  5. Add the remaining 4 cups of water to the strained liquid.
  6. Stir well and refrigerate until chilled.
  7. Serve over ice and enjoy!
