  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
  4. Spread the meat mixture over the potatoes and top with remaining potato slices.
  5. In another bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with milk and pour over the layers.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and drizzle with melted butter.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
