  • 4 medium Russet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink; drain excess fat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  3. Stir in beef broth and heavy cream; season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  4. In the prepared casserole dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the meat mixture. Repeat with another layer of potatoes and the remaining meat mixture.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, cover with foil, and bake for 60 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
