  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits (optional)

Instructions

  1. Feed your sourdough starter four hours before baking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt; whisk until blended.
  3. Create a well in the dry mixture; add bubbly starter, warm water, and olive oil. Mix into a shaggy dough.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place in an oiled bowl; cover and let rise in a warm area for about two hours or until doubled.
  6. Deflate dough, shape it into a loaf or round shape, cover, and let rise again for one hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
