- 10 Oreo cookies (coarsely crushed)
- 3/4 cup butter (for frosting, softened)
- 6 cups confectioners' sugar (for frosting)
- 1/2 teaspoon clear or regular vanilla extract (for frosting)
- 3 to 4 tablespoons 2% milk (for frosting)
- Blue and red paste food coloring (for frosting)
- Star sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line muffin tins with liners.
- Cream together softened butter and sugar until crumbly. Add egg whites one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with milk until fully combined. Fold in crushed Oreos.
- Fill muffin cups two-thirds full and bake for 20–24 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely on wire racks.
- Prepare frosting by beating softened butter with confectioners' sugar and vanilla; add milk for desired consistency. Tint portions red and blue.
