  • 4 slices fresh pineapple
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
  • 1 medium garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • pounds beef tenderloin, trimmed
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine hoisin sauce, ginger, garlic, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the beef tenderloin in the mixture for at least 15 minutes.

  5. Grill or broil beef for about 6–8 minutes per side until reaching an internal temperature of at least 145°F.
  6. Prepare the sauce by mixing remaining hoisin sauce, pineapple juice, ginger, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
  7. Serve sliced beef topped with broiled pineapple and drizzled with sauce.
