- 3 cups peeled and sliced apples
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for caramel)
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter (for caramel)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (for caramel)
- 1 tsp sea salt (for caramel)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and prepare a 9-inch springform pan by pressing graham cracker crumbs mixed with melted butter into the bottom. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
- In a bowl, combine sliced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon, then layer over the cooled crust.
- Beat softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth; add eggs one at a time, followed by sour cream and vanilla extract. Pour over the apple layer.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center. Cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
- For the salted caramel sauce, melt sugar until amber, then stir in butter and heavy cream followed by sea salt.
